ThinkPad W500学生机的价格为1728美元，这是来自加拿大一所名叫University Laval的大学的网站的消息。该校提供的学生机主要用于3D设计，提供的品牌包括ThinkPad和MacBook。其中ThinkPad只有W500一款机型，其基本配置为

下面是University Laval所提供的订购单，如果在7月20日之前订购的话，价格为1728美元，但如果是在7月20日之后的话，则要1778美元（本人不懂法语，如果有讲错的地方，请指正）。从时间上看，ThinkPad W500的发布可能是在7月20日前后。
